Swanson Tree is not a pruning or removal company. If you are looking for an unbiased opinion about the health and stability of your trees then this is the service for you. Rob has special training in Tree Risk Assessment, tree biology, soil fertility, and pest management.
Our urban trees are often subject to chronic environmental stress such as herbicide use, soil compaction, poor turf management, poor or missing mulch habits that can destroy the soils ability to sustain needed microbial activity. Our blend of bio-root stimulating compounds, and fertilizers when needed, can help to restore that lost function.
Many of our Central Texas diseases, such as Oak Wilt, Bacterial Leaf Scorch, and Fire Blight are best treated by placing medications directly into the tree's vascular system. Not only is this the quickest and most efficient method but it also keeps chemicals out of the soil and away from our kids and pets.
Using a specialized air powered tool we can remove soil from around the base of a tree without doing any damage to the root system. Many times young trees are planted too deep inhibiting good tree development, or mulches are piled up on the trees trunk suffocating the root collar, or mushrooms are developing at the tree's base. A root collar excavation can quickly remove extra soil, remove excess mulch, and expose roots for examination.
Trees often out grow the space they have been planted. They start to encroach on rooves, power lines, driveways, security lights, and road signs creating a need for unsightly pruning. The judicious use growth regulators (often called Plant Growth Regulators) in conjunction with proper planning can prevent these problems before ever becoming a problem.
With over 30 years of industry experience, spanning all 50 states and six countries chances are Rob has seen it before. Rob has helped to develop Tree Conservation Ordinances, written pruning standards, stood as an expert witness, and has been a professional speaker and educator for the forest service, and the tree care industry.
